GORED BY A BULL.
Per Press Association. HASTINGS, April 19. Through being gored by a Jersey bull, Mr Jack Irwin, aged seventy-four years, of Hastings, is in hospital suffering from serious injuries. This afternoon he was repairing a fence on his farm property, the bull being in the paddock where he was working. The animal approached Mr Irwin and he threw a hammer he was using. The bull immediately gored him. throwing him through the fence. Mr Irwin crawled a quarter of a mile to the nearest house for help. He is suffering from broken ribs and a lung is affected.
