STUDENTS’ FENCING.
The annual report of the Canterbury College Fencing Club shows a high rise in membership during the past year, about forty members being on the roll. Mr A. Mortimer Thatcher was commended upon his work as instructor, and Mr was also thanked for his The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Dr J. Hight; president. Dr C. E. Beeby; vice-presidents, Messrs J. it' J?: Wa, ‘4 and H. Cato; club captain Mr K. C. West-Watson; secretary, Miss M. Thornton; treasurer, Miss W. Ween ink; committee, Misses J. Ashworth, M. Sinciune, R. Lewis and Mr K. M. Young.
