Gatherings Held in Town and Suburbs. PARTY AT CASHMERE. Mrs F. W. J. May. Cashmere Hills, entertained a number of friends at an enjoyable bridge partv on Wednesday afternoon. The drawing-room was decorated with bowls of chrysanthemums and red roses. The prize-winners were Mrs R. A. Campbell, Mrs G. Ilolford and Mrs Owen Raker. Those present were: Mesdames G. Holford, J. The ladies’ committee of the Veterans’ Association was responsible for an enjoyable back-to-childhood and fancy dress dance held on Tuesdav evening. Mr Donovan was M.C. Prizes were won by the following:—Back-to-child hood. Miss M. Scarff and Mr Donovan: most original fancy dress, Mrs Powell (Old Timer) and Mr L. Ilitchings (Old Black Joe) ; best dressed lady, Mrs Collins (Spanish Lady) and Miss Clare Brown (Russian!. Others present were:—Mesdames Powell, Terry. Collins. Pepper, Wallis.
