BRIGHT MUSICAL FILM.

“I Adore You” Booked for Plaza. “ A Southern Maid.” the excellent musical comedy starring Bebe Daniels, and supporting programme will be screened finally to-morrow night at the Plaza Theatre. First-class acting, tuneful music and lavish settings are the principal features of “ I Adore You,” the bright British musical picture which will head the new programme at the Plaza Theatre on Saturday. This Warner Brothers’ production was made at the Teddington studios under the direction of George King. The ordinary musical film takes the back of the stage as its setting, but the producers of “I Adore You” used a motion picture studio for a background. Starred in this intriguing and entertaining production is Margot Grahame, a popular British actress who has appeared in several previous successes. She is supported by a strong cast, which includes Clifford Heatherly, Harold French, Georgie Harris and Ernest Sefton. Features of “ I Adore You ” are the unique dance ensembles. The director of these had at his disposal several dozen of London’s most attractive chorus girls, their numbers being augmented by the pre sence of six of C. B. Cochran’s famous and very beautiful “ Young Ladies.’ The music was supplied by none other than Carroll Gibbons and his outstand ing orchestra, “The Savoy Orpheans,” while the five song “ hits ” in the story were composed, arranged and orchestrated by Gibbons himself. He was also responsible for the piano solos, which are one of the brightest attractions of the show—an attraction alone worth going a long way to see and hear. Box plans at the D.I.C.
