For the horse and the ass the extreme limit of life is about 35 years, and for horned cattle about 30. For the dog it is given at 25, while sheep, *f’ p ‘ gs anr * oats are grouped at 15. 'v hue a goose may live 30 years, a sparrow 25, and a crow as many as 100, ducks, fowls and turkeys die of old age at 12 years. The distinction of greatest longevity is shared between the elephant and the parrot. Both pass the century mark.
