IRELAND WILL ENTER.

Sweep Promoters Nominate for Air Race. DUBLIN, April 10. Mr Joseph M’Grath, managing director of the Irish Hospitals Trust, organisers of the Irish sweepstakes, is entering an aeroplane for the Centenary air race from London to Melbourne. He has invited Colonel Fitzmaurice, the Irish aviator, who accompanied Huenfeld and Kohl on their TransAtlantic flight, to make all arrangements and select and pilot the plane. Colonel Fitzmaurice already has got into touch with English makers, and he will visit the United States to gain experience of high-speed and longdistance planes before he finally selects a machine. Mr M’Grath says that the race is the greatest sporting event in history, and should be supported by important organisations and business interests throughout the world. Accordingly, he is anxious that the Irish sweepstakes .should be represented. Mr Neville Stack, who recently left on a flight to West Africa, during which he took a dictaphone record of his impressions, has returned after a satisfactory journey.
