RETURNED SOLDIERS.
Meeting of New Brighton Branch.
The second annual meeting of the New Brighton sub-branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association was held in the association’s rooms last night. There was a large attendance of members. There were also present the Rev F. T. Read, president of the Christchrueh executive, and Messrs A. Emerson, W. E. Leadley, H. Fleck. R. M. Grant and C. Chisnall. The president. Lieutenant A. F. Hopkins, was in the chair. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr George Marsh; vice-presidfent, Mr Rawnsley; secretary Mr A. E. Nesbitt; treasurer, Mr S. A. Green; auditor, Mr E. H. Rodgers. The executive comprises the officers and the following:—Messrs E. Elder, H. Barr, R. Potter, R. W. Parker, F. Rowse and W. Hecker.
