Will Not Be Taken On Tour. RUGBY UNIOX DECISION. i hat the Ranfurlv Shield would not Le taken on tour this season was a decision of the management committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union last night. The reason given was that the Canterbury representative team would probably be depleted through some of its members being chosen for the All Blacktour of Australia this season. Later in the meeting Mr V. L. Jensen gave notice of motion that the resolution be rescinded, and that consideration of the matter be deferred until July. In view of the decision a request f, ro . m the Marlborough Union for a Shield match against Canterbury at Blenheim was declined.
