TRAMWAY APPEALS.

Further Twenty to be Filed It is Stated. Twenty further appeals by members of the Christchurch Tramway Board’s traffic staff, it is understood, will be lodged in the near future. The men concerned are those who remained loyal to the beard or joined the traffic staff during the strike period, and who had not seen fit to appeal earlier. Some weeks ago eleven union men who were restored to the positions they occupied prior to the strike, and were reduced in status and salary following on the decision of the Appeal Board in favour of new men, were considering appealing, but so far they have not presented appeals. The clerk to the Appeal Board stated this morning that he had not received any further appeals, although he understood unofficiallv that some were t > be filed in the near future.
