LOYALTY TO LEAGUE.
Corner-stone of British Policy. MINISTER’S STATEMENT. British Official Wireless. (Received April 16, 12.30 p.m.) RUGBYY April 15. The loyalty of the British Government to the League of Nations and its ideals was emphasised in a declaration made at the National Conference in Defence of the League by the Post-master-General, Sir Kingsley Wood. He declared: “ I come here officially as a member of the present National ad ministration and assert again that if it is necessarf to do so the National Government will stand firmly by' the League as a corner-stone of its policy',”
