WIN FOR ENGLAND.

Relay Road Race From Paris. (Received April 16. 1.15 p.m.) PARIS, April 15. Fifty representatives of the English Universities’ Athletic Union won the international road relay race of 15£ miles through the streets of Paris and along tV Seine embankment in lhr 53sec. The French team were runnersup, their time being lhr 57sec. The remaining teams were soon out of the running. Lovelock gained the lead in the first 700 metres on a track at the stadium, but the English team dropped back to third at Riverside. They temporarily regained the lead through Horsfall. The French team led at half way, after which England magnificently recovered after varying fortunes.
