To Correspondents. S.H.H.—The Wairarapa was wrecked in 1894, with the loss of 135 lives. Ozanne.—Sumner is perfectly safe from sharks as far as surf-bathing goes. Interested.—To hawk* drapery in the city of Christchurch a license is required. It is obtainable on the recommendation of two reputable persons, if endorsed by the Police. The fee is 3s a month. Not all local bodies, however, insist on a license.
