Birds for Zoo on Visiting Vessel. The Canadian Constructor, which arrived in -Lyttelton on Thursday to load a consignment of onions, carries a num» her of birds for the New York Zoo. They comprise a pair of mankun kes-> trels a pair of goshawks and a pair of Cape Barren geese. Also there are two lizzards and two bush-tailed oppossums. One of the mankun kestrels died on the voyage from Melbourne. Personal. Mrs B. Macfarlane, of Dublin Street, who has been an inmate of St George’s Hospital for several weeks, has returned home and is convalescent.
