For the past ten years he has been playing with the Victorian Softgoods Association C.C.— which engages in social matches only. In the club’s last game, against Parkdale, he took six wickets for 47 runs. At sixty-three Jimmy Taylor is also playing with the Softgoods Association C.C. He, too, has played with them for ten years. At one time he captained the famous Hawksburn C.C. Last season, against the Mont Park C.C., Taylor took five wickets with five consecutive balls! From Stawell comes news of a sixtv-three-y ear-old player, A. Vance, who has scored 264 runs this season at an average of 16.0, with highest scores of 51 and 68.
