£IOO,OOO Voted for Scheme in N.S.W. MR STEVENS'S PLAN. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received April 12, 10.30 a.m) SYDNEY, April 12. The Premier. Mr Stevens, has introduced an afforestation scheme which is designed to give continuous employment to 4000 single men. Cabinet has made available £IOO,OOO for the initial cost of the work. The objective is to provide employment until the whole problem of giving protection to the forest areas throughout the State has been met.
