ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
Annual Meeting of Boys’ Division. The annual nveeting of the Boys* Division of the Canterbury Football Association was held on Monday. The president (Mr H W. Wilkins) presided. The annual rej>ort. showing a successful season, was adopted. The division had conducted the South Island primaiy schools’ tournament, the report stated, tho under 6st 71b class having been won by Canterbury and the Bst 71b competi-
tion by Westland. The balance-sheet, showing a credit of £5 11s 4d, was adopted. A discussion took place regarding the position of the public schools’ competition. It was decided to interview the secretary of the Public Schools* Athletic Sports Association. Mr R. B. Bunt, secretary of the Canterbury Football Association, stated that the ages for the fifth and sixth grade competitions were as follows:—Under sixteen years and a half and under fourteen years on April 1. It was decided to start the fifth and sixth grade games on April 14. The election of officers resulted:— Patrons. Mr D. G. Sullivan. M.P., and the Rev J. K. Archer; president. Mr G. Yates; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Mont-
gomery. J. A. Robb, P. L. Davies, R. B. Bunt. U. Sevlcke-Jones. J. Jontts. R. E. Knglish, G. Dickinson. J. G. Parry, F. Wade and Brother Palladius; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr P. C. Lucas; delegate to C.F.A.. Mr G. Yates; Classification Committee, Messrs A. C. Porter, FT. Taylor and G. Yates; Postponement Committee, president and secretary; pro tern Match Committee. Messrs H. W. Wilkins. A. D. Ross and K. Taylor; selectors. Messrs Porter and Taylor. On the motion of Mr Bunt it was resolved to appoint a Management Com-, rr.ittee of seven adults to conduct the affairs of the division, a genera! meeting to be held monthly; a meeting to appoint the committee to be held On April 23, to which all clubs and schools be invited to send delegates.
