U.S. SILVER PROPOSAL.
Bill Aims at Raising Price. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyr igh t. (Received April 11, 12.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON. April 10. The United Sfetes Senate Agricultural Committee to-day reported favoiira'bly on the Dies Silver Farm Relief Bill, carrying an amendment by Senator Thomas for the nationalisation of silver, which provides for unlimited purchase until it reaches the once of one dollar twenty-nine cents an ounce, or until the 1926 commodity price level is attained. The Dies Bill provides for the acceptance of silver from other nations at a premium of 25 per cent over the world price, in exchange for United States surplus crops.
