BRACKENFIELD HUNT.
Annual Review Reports Successful Season. The annual meeting of th 9 Brackenfleld Hunt Club was held at Rangioia yesterday. The master, Mr Denis Chapman, presided, and there was a good attendance of members. The master in his report stated that the hounds had been in the district for nine years, although some years ago serious thought had been given to the disbanding of the pack. It said a lot for the sporting blood that still existed that the club had been able to carry on during the past few years. The season had been a good* one and up to the average so far as hunting was concerned. He expressed thanks to those who had supported the club and enabled it to carry on. The season opened on May 20 and concluded on August 19. with the point-to-point meeting which nad to be twice postponed on account of unfavourable weather. The gymkhana held on the Ranglora show ground was most successful and helped the club’a funds considerably. The statement of receipts and payments showed the revenue to have oeen £394 5s 2d. including £ll9 15s 2d brought forward. The principal -terns were subscriptions and* donations £55 7a 6d, competition £36 Is 6d. gymshana £43 11s Bd, Banks Peninsula Racing Club donation £75 and Canterbury Jockey Club donation £2O. Payments totalled £246 3s Bd, including huntsman £75, rent £6O, point-to-point £25 < s 7d and gymkhana £26 0s id, and leaving a credit balance of £l4B Is 6<f. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Officers were elected as follow: Master, Mr Denis Chapman; deputymaster, Mr H. D. Greenwood; committee, Messrs H. D. Greenwood. W. Parsons, R. Chapman, R. Macdonald. J. B. Starky and H. M. Burgin; huntsman, Mr R. A. Ferguson; honorary secretary, Mr L. W. Harley; auditor. Mr C. I. Jennings. The appointment of a whip v.as left to a sub-committee. The ladies present were appointed a Ladies’ Committee. The opening meet waa fixed for May 5. and it was decided to hold a gymkhana and a point-to-point meeting on dates to be fixed by the committee The offer of Mrs H. T. Little, to pay *he cost of the whip's remuneration for the season was accepted with thanks. The customary votes of thanks were passed, special mention being made of the services of the master and the honorary secretary (Mr L. W. Harley), Hie latter being voted an honorarium of
