SEVENTY YEARS.
Christchurch Presbytery’s Anniversary. The seventieth anniversary of the Christchurch Presbytery fell in January of this year, and it was decided at a meeting this morning to celebrate the occasion. A committee was set up to make arrangements. The Moderator. Mr W. Rose, referred to the successful diamond jubilee celebrations held in 1924. The only minister who was in a charge then .and who was still in active service was the Rev F. H. Bailey, now erf St Martins. In 3924 Mr Bailey was at Scargill.
