Mishap to Engines,
Admiralty Oil Tanker Diverted. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 10. TO a mishap to her engines at sea the Admiralty old tanker Nucula, which left Auckland for the Persian Gulf last Wednesday, has been diverted to Sydney for repairs. At the time of the mishap the vessel was en route to the Persian Gulf to load oil, for the New Zealand cruisers Diomede and Dunedin. On Sunday, when the Nucula was about 1200 miles from New Zealand, a defect occurred in an inlet pipe and the engines had to be stopped until temporary repairs were made.
