vague. The illustration gives a good Idea, and even this must be modified upon occasion. For instance, in heavy Vet land the depth shown should be the maximum, whereas in light well-drained Soil it is the minimum. The depth of soil* over the top of the bulb ia the actual measurement and the base of large bulbs must., be lower to allow the same depth of soil over the top.
