GREETINGS TO DENNISTON.
Sixteen new members and a sheaf of bright, nicely-written, and very neat letters—that’s what Denniston sent us for our Autumn page. Well done! Denniston lies near Westport, high on the apex of a seven-mile hill. As you climb and look back, the road you_ have travelled can be seen in thirteen different twists at once. It is a coal-mining centre. There are not the same facilities and amusements there for the children as in other places and we give our old Denniston members a hearty hand-grip and our new ones to-night the merriest of merry “ Welcome-in’s.” We shall look forward to hearing more from our friends there, and to seeing more of this neat and careful writing. Bravo to Denniston! Specially welcome are these new members from Denniston: Bob MacDonald (Main Street). Patty Hearne (Brown Street, Marshallvale). Jean Black (Main Street). Jim Martin (Main Street). Fay Laurie (New Road). Alan Coburn (Main Street). Doris Watson (Dixon Street). Richard Allot (Main Street). Walter Clark (18 Break Head). Mervyn Thomas (176 Plateau). Jean Hughes (Gillies Street). Dawn Elliot (Main Street). Jim Taylor (Main Street). Douglas Jack (Dixon Street). Jean Lowry (Main Street).
