Among the 80 remits to come before the annual meeting of the Educational Institute in Wellington on May 7 is one calling on the institute to declare itself against war. The remit, which comes from the Wellington branch, is worded: “That this meeting of the New Zealand Educational Institute declares itself wholeheartedly against war, and recommends its members and branches to participate in any and every sincere anti-war movement.”
