Historic Flags for Memorial at Canberra. SYDNEY, March 28. Through the generosity of Edward Solomon, of Melbourne, the Australian ar Memorial has been enriched by a unique collection of autographed flags presented by him to the Commonwealth Government. On completion of the national war memorial at Canberra they will be accorded a prominent position among exhibits to be permanently housed there. The collection includes flags of most of the Allies whi-h bear signatures of rulers, leaders of the A ja • or . ces > Prime Ministers, Army and Air chiefs, naval leaders and n-n of whose names are linked with the famous exploits. Occupying pride of place is the his--1 Klt ?. hener Flag, the raffling of which realised £30,000 for the benefit of incapacitated sailors and soldiers.
