VISITORS HONOURED.
Old Girls of Woodford House.
Members of the Christchurch branch of the Woodford House Old Girls’ Association, which was formed last November, spent a pleasant time yesterday entertaining Mrs M’Alley, of Hastings, secretary of the central branch of the association, Mrs Maurice Chambers and Mrs Ernest Couper, old girls from Havelock North, and Miss Kathleen Hall, of Auckland. These ladies arrived in Christchurch earlier in the week from Blenheim, having completed a tour of the southern part of the North Island, where they had visited several branches of the Old Girls’ Association. Yesterday the visitors were the guests of honour at a morning tea party given at the home of Mrs T- F. Buchanan, Fendalton, who kindly placed her house and garden at the disposal of the local branch of the Old Girls’ Association. A short address on the aims and objects of the association was given bv Mrs M’Alley. Later many of the members attended a luncheon party at Ballantvne’s, and in the afternoon a. very enjoyable tennis party was held at Cashmere House, lent by Mrs J. Cracroft Wilson. Bristed. Airs Griffith *J? nC x S (Korth Canterbury), Aliss Rachel Montgomery (Weedons). Airs lan Nairn. Mrs Keith Parkinson (Kaituna Valiev), Airs Huthwaite Ronaldson, Arrs Colin Deans (Upper I-lighfield) and Airs Norman Rutherford (Alendip Hills).
