United Club. A. R. Cant beat T. W. Patterson last nigrht in the singles championship, 6-4, 6-4, 1-6, 6-3, and enters the semi-final against the winner of the match between W. R. Robinson and .7. W. Arnold. In the other semi-final, H. Dymond, having beaten D. F*. Glanville, 11-9, 6-3, 9-7, will meet T. Rhodes-Williams. Two combined semi-finals were played last night, when Barrer and Miss Noeline Bishop beat Mercer and Miss Thelma Poole, 6-2, 6-0, and R.hodesWilliams and Miss Gould beat Fisher and Mrs Fisher, 6-1, 6-2.
