HINT FROM BRITAIN. RUGBY, February 17. Mr Arthur Henderson and Mr Walter Citrine interviewed Sir John Simon, who, it is understood, informed them that it was a fact, as already hinted in the newspaper's, that the British Minister in Vienna had, on the British Government’s instructions, expressed to the Austrian Government the earnest hope that a policy of clemency and appeasement would lie followed with reference to the recent disturbances.
