FROST OF TWO DEGREES.
People who had reason to get out of bed at all early this morning found the air quite nippy. They thought there was a frost of several degrees, but only 2 degrees were recorded at the observatory in Hagley Park. It is quite probable that districts further inland experienced colder temperatures and therefore tender plants might have received some damage. Very little damage, however, was done in the suburbs. The leaves of marrows ond pumpkins were blackened in some gardens, but apart from that few plants were affected.
