Workmen Overcome When Concrete Collapses. SYDNEY, February IS. A number of workmen were overwhelmed in the collapse of a green concrete balcony, which had just been erected at the Tamworth Hospital nurses’ quarters. Harry Shaw, clerk of works, was' killed and five others, all from Sydney, were injured. Shaw was smothered, and the others were in danger of a similar fate, when the matron appealed to the Governor of the nearby gaol, who organised a party of prisoners, whose efforts soon rescued all but Shaw.
