Progress of Waimairi Beach Club. •S? a ? on . C l f P ro S r esa is recorded by the Waimairi Beach Golf Club in the report which will be presented to the annual meeting of members to be held in the Chamber <of Commerce Library on Thursday next, at 8 p.m. The report states that the membership increased by 32 during the vear, and that the total membership now stands at 107. A great amount of constructional work had been carried out during the year, enabling the full course of eighteen holes to be opened for play early in the season, while alterations and extensions to many of the greens had added to the playing quality of the course. There was. however, still much work to be done. The standard of play was Improving, and the club had been successful in the two inter-club matches it had played during the year. During the year the club had affiliated with the New Zealand Golf Council, and the ladies with the Ladies’ Golf Union.
