Irene Dunn’s Contract.
Interviewed upon her arrival in Hollywood from a holiday in New York, where she had been visiting her husband, Dr Francis Griftin, Irene Dunne revealed that she recently persuaded her studio employers to incorporate a “ commuting clause ” in her contract, permitting her to live with her husband in New York and work in Hollywood. The actress is to receive ten days’ notice before each of her pictures is ready to start, and will return to New York immediately after filming is completed. Appropriately enough, the title of the picture for which Irene Dunne has just been summoned to Hollywood is “ Transient Love.” New Comedy Team. A new comedy team —Edna May Oliver and Edward Everett Horton—will soon be seen in ‘‘The Poor Rich.” It is one of those delightful comedy mixtures with extremely clever dialogue and situations built to order for the peculiar abilities of the two main stars. Claude Rains Again. Claude Rains, the English actor who played the title role in the screen version of 11. G. Wells’s fantastic thriller, *'The Invisible Man,” will next appear in Ihe Man Who Re-claimed His Head.” M’Laglen and Lowe. Edmund Lowe and Victor M’Laglen are to be featured in “No More Women,” which is described as a swashbuckling tale of two deep-sea divers in search of sunken treasure. A large part of the film will be “ shot ” on location at San Pedro and on the high seas.
