After being accurately weighed the chemical constituents of the dry cell are mixed in this electric revolving drum. A bell rings when mixing is complete to warn the attendant that additional material is required. Emptied from the drum, the black powder is screened to remove lumps, and is then ready to be turned into “dollies.”
