STREET COLLECTION.
Next Friday there will be a street collection in aid of the funds of the Nurse Maude District Nursing Association. During the day a market will he held in the Art Gallery, where there will be on sale lamb, poultry, eggs, butter. vegetables, flowers, plants, sweets and numerous other good things. Although the various stallholders are providing good supplies, gifts for any of the stalls will be much appreciated. During the evening the market will continue, and there will be additional attractions in the way of side shows and entertainment provided by the Postmen’s Social Committee. The Ist [Canterbury Regimental Band, under the baton of Captain C. Hoskins, will be in attendance. There wil be no charge for admission to the Art Gallery during the day or evening.
