BECKENHAM SCHOOL.
Th* monthly meeting of the Beckenham School Committee was held in the Rchool on Tuesday; present: Mrs Wilson, Messrs Vincent. Garland (head master), Campbell. Fletcher, Randall and Poskitt. A welcome was extended to Mr Garland, the new head master. It was decided to hold the picnic on March 1 at the Riccarton racecourse. It was decided to hold a social as a welcome to Mr Garland. It was decided that £5 5s be granted to the head master for the purpose of supplying books to necessitous cases.
