AUCKLAHI) BUSINESS. (Special to the “ Star.’’) AUCKLAXD. February 16. Business on the Stock Exchange has maintained a healthy tone over the last 24 hours, and a big list of sales has been recorded. These have covered a wide range of securities, with recent values fully maintained. In the banking section, Australasias improved with a sale at £l3 2s 6d. a rise of 7s 6d since the first of the month. Buyers for Xew Zealands again moved up to 49s 3d, with holders asking 49s 9d. In the pastoral section, Abraham and Williams preference shares had their first sale for a considerable period, £5 scrip changing hands at £4. The mining section was again active, and buyers for King Solomons advanced to 4s 6d, with holders asking 4s lOd. Government stocks were steady at late quotations.
