The wet weather made a difference in the quantities of hay used at the Royal Show. Ordinarily only six tons would have been sufficient, but forty tons were used this time to meet the needs of the animals. A new item will appear on the treasurers statement —1000 sacks of sawdust, which was used in filling up muddy patches and making paths.
