PICNIC AT WAIKUKU.

About forty-five inmates of Nazareth House -were the guests of the Canterbury Licensed Victuallers’ Association at a picnic held at Waikuku Beach Domain on Tuesday. The weather conditions were perfect and an enjoyable day was spent. Those who lent cars were: Messrs A. J. Lambert, A. Rose, J. Wilson, P. Curtis, T. Aspell, A. Barrett, J. M. Coffey, W. Gibson, E. C. M’CullOugh, J. Griffin, J. O. M’Gillivray and A. M. Chivers, Mrs E. Rattray and the Rev Father Timoney. The inmates were entertained at luncheon, the catering being in the hands of Messrs P. Burke and Co., Ltd. A number of ladies accompanied the party and assisted with the catering, and the hot water was supplied free of charge by the Waikuku Beach Association.
