CALF-REARING.

North Canterbury Schools’ Competition. Over 100 calves were entered for till calf-rearing competitions by pupils in schools all over North Canterbury for the 1 932-33 season. Considerable enthusiasm has been aroused among pupils and children in this phase of the North Canterbury Boys’ and Girls’ Agricultural Clubs, and parades and demonstrations are becoming a regular and attractive feature of all A. and F. shows in the district. At Rangiorr, 19 calves were shown by competitor , and their general appearance and c-ond tion were the object of much favourabl * comment. Further parades are arrange l 1 for the Oxford.
