Visitor Notices Optimistic Tone in N.Z. Reference to the feeling of optimism prevalent in Australia and New Zealand was made by Mr John E. Kennebeck, of Sydney, the newly-appointed managing director of Paramount Pictures, in Australia, New Zealand and the Far East, who arrived in Christchurch to-day. Mr Kennebeck, who is accompanied by the New Zealand manager for Paramount Pictures, Mr S. H. Craig, is making a tour of the Dominion with the object of seeing personally the theatres at which his company’s product will be shown during the coming year.
