CANADIAN PARLIAMENT.
OTTAWA, February 14. The House of Commons to-dav defeated the Liberal want of confidence amendment to the Address from the Throne by 110 votes to 76, after which Mr J. S. Woodsworth, Co-operative Commonwealth Federation leader, moved another amendment stating that the Government had not taken such steps as were necessary to deal adequately with unemployment, to reduce the debt burden and to put agriculture on a basis which would secure the farmer a decent standard of living.
