Masters) would be in Chri Ist church at the end of the month, r.nd it was decided to invite him to visit the college in order that he might make himself conversant with its needs and discuss them with the board. The report of the chairman acknowledged with thanks the receipt of two •-valuable publications presented to the Tfcollege by Mr F. M. Robson, one of the members. One was a fac-simile of the Treaty of Waitangi, which was of particular interest at the present time. ' e other was a book on New Zealand r a. beautifully illustrated. and, old, still of great value to the classes. Mr Robson was thanked for his gift. The report of the principal (Dr D. E. Hansen) stated that enrolments of new pupils for the Technical High School had been nearly completed, but belated entries were still coming in. The number at present was 179 girls and 248 boys, but more were expected. This was almost identical with the number received up to the same date last year.

They would not be in a position to assess the total roll number for another week, as the return of last year's pupils would depend very much on the number who had accepted employment in the past seven weeks. New pupils would commence work on Tuesday, and the whole school oh Wednesday next. Reports for evening school students would be sent out in the course of the next few days, and enrolments would be taken for evening classes in about twelve days’ time. The number of senior free places granted by the Education Department to evening students was 108. Examination Results.
