Mr Warner I’opes Cricketers Get Warm Welcome. LONDON, January 17. Speaking at the annual meeting of the Middlesex Cricket Club, Mr P. F. Warner, who was co-manager of Jardine’s team in Australia, said he hoped the English Press and public would warmly welcome the Australian team. Regarding “ the little difference of opinion ” that had occurred, the best thing that could happen would be to shake hands in mutual respect and admiration. like the opponents in the famous fight in “ Tom Brown’s Schooldays.”
