The position of blind people possessing crystal sets now- that station 3YA has been shifted to Gebbie's Pass was mentioned by Mr W. T. Woods at a meeting of the Advisory Committee to the New Zealand Institute for the Blind yesterday. Mr Woods said that those who could not get 3YA on their sets could now get 3YL, but 3YL did not broadcast a news session, and it was news in which the blind were most interested. They had been told that minor alterations to their crystal sets would permit therh to bring in 3YA, but the main station was drowned when 3YL was on the air with alternative programmes, which included the time when the news session was on.
