WHIPPET RACING.
Waiau Club Holds Holiday Meeting. Y'esterday, the recently-formed Waiau Whippet Racing Club held its second race meeting, when there was a good attendance of spectators. The track was in good condition, but a strong north-west wind slowed down the times. The main event, the Belfast Open Handicap, was won by Mr J. A. Ainger with Real Pal. Another successful owner was Mrs F. E. Biltcliff. whose bitch, Charis. was second to Real Pal and also second in the Highfiehl Open Hurdles, whilst the same owner's Cerberus won the Woodena Extended Nursery.
