March of Caterpillars Stops a Train. ATTACK ON OAT STACKS. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copy r igh t. (Received December 27, 12.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, December 27. A train was stopped at Woolamai, in the Gippsland district, owing to caterpillars swarming over the lines. Sand had to be used on the rails. The district is suffering from a plague of caterpillars, and stacks of oats have been transformed into black masses of caterpillars.
