HALF-CASTE BOY DROWNED
Per Press Association. GISBORNE, December 11. A half-caste Maori named Peter Burgess, nine years of age, was drowned at Tolaga Bay yesterday afternoon. The boy got into difficulties while bathing with a party of children. His companions ran for assistance, but when this arrived the lad had disappeared. His body was recovered later.
