There has been a strong finish to the week on the Stock Exchange and & good list of sales was completed at the last calls. In the banking section Commercials were conspicuous and continued firmness brought a sale this morning at 17s 6d, with more wanted at that figure. New Zealaridg were quoted ex div with buyers at 47s 3d. An offer of 12s 6d was received for Wright. Stephenson ordinary shares and 16s 6d was again available for preference. Auckland Gas were firm and In* request at 23s 9d. Colonial Sugars hardened and buyers moved up to £6l 10a, with holders asking £1 more. Fertiliser shares attracted attention, and 73s was available for New Zealand Drugs, 17s 8d for Farmers’ Fertilisers and 17s 9d for Dominion Fertilisers. GOLD.
