Body Dragged Through Streets to Pyre. ALLEGED ATTACK ON WOMAN. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 9, 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, December 8. Kountze (Texas) messages state that the body of David Gregory, a negro ex-convict, who was accused of criminally attacking and slaying a white woman, was mutilated and burned by the mob, which dragged the body to a pyre in the negro section, after the negro had died of bullet wounds inflicted by a posse.
