Killing of Forty Convicts Denied. (Received December 9, 12.30 p.m.) ALGIERS, December 8. The Chief of Police emphatically denies the reported mutiny and killing of fortv convicts by jets of steam on the convict ship La Martiniere. Actually only one convict was dissatisfied with the food. lie and two others threatened the ship’s doctor, but discipline was scon restored.
