The annual congregational meeting of Knox Presbyterian Church was held last night in the schoolroom, the moderator, the Rev T. W. Armour, presiding over a good attendance. In presenting the report. which showed that the church had weathered the year most satisfactorily, Mr Armour said he considered that there was a members which augured well for the future. He was always pleased to see activity among church members, and he was hoping - to find a field for that enthusiasm in work at Weston Road. Kirk Session Report. The Kirk Session’s fifty-third annual report made reference to the well sustained activities during the year. The church roll to October 31 last was 469, and the average attendance at Communion services was 320. The fact that, after meeting obligations in full, there was a credit balance of £44 12s to carry forward was a feature of the report of the Board of Managers. It had been possible to meet the whole of the Assembly allocations for missions, etc., of £295 and to add £B6 14s to the capital debt reduction fund, making a total amount in that fund of £IOO 0s sd. This had been possible only through the generosity of an anonymous donor of £2OO, for which the managers wished to express their gratitude. The congregation had also contributed £135 7s Gd through the special appeal. The addition to the debt reduction account was largely accounted for by the bequest of £SO from the estate of the late Mr W. J. Bailie, for many years a faithful member of the congregation. Retiring managers re-elected were: Messrs P. Kennedy, F. TR Musgrave, H. E. Perry. T. J. D. Wilcox and J. R Sharp. New managers elected were Messrs W. J. Walkingshaw and Keith Gresham. Mr W. R. Heney was reelected honorary auditor. A musical programme was contributed by Misses R. Fulton and R. Broughton, and Messrs C. B. Martin and A. G. Thompson. ALL THINKING ALIKE. We all possess some generosity and no one is free from some interest in X’mas presents There is no store in Christchurch which will help vou more than Minson’s, where prices are so low X
